EXTENSIVE COVERAGE

The MD 640 has all the features of the MD 610, with added florescence capability for the determination of PTSA in water systems.

PTSA (1,3,6,8 pyrenetetrasulfonic acid, sodium salt) is a fluorescent material that is being increasingly added to specialty water treatment products to enable real time product dose analysis.

PTSA is detectable at ppb levels, is non-toxic and chemically stable, making it an ideal additive to trace throughout complex water systems.

The MD 640 has a built-in UV excitation LED that enables accurate detection and quantification of PTSA from 0 to 1000 ppb. No additional adapters or reagents required, just insert the sample and read the result.

Accurately measuring product dose levels help the water treatment specialist to control water chemistry; prevent corrosion, scale and biological fouling; increase system efficiency and ultimately save energy and costs.

The MD 640 is pre-programmed with over 120 analytical methods to enable quantification of naturally occurring dissolved metals and non-metals such as copper, iron, calcium, magnesium and carbonates, plus a range of water treatment additives such as DEHA, Molybdenum phosphate, poylacrylates, PTSA, organo-phosphate (phosphonates) and more empowering the field engineer to effectively manage many different water systems and treatments with one compact, waterproof and rugged handheld device.

The AquaLX® app is the ideal supplement to Lovibond photometers. With the Bluetooth® interface, measuring results for quick evaluation and processing can be transmitted to smart phones or tablets, so all data can be evaluated and allocated directly on site. The app displays all measurements in a clear graph with minimum and maximum thresholds and supports data export as an Excel®-compatible CSV file.

Description

The MD100 uses high quality interference filters with long-life LEDs as a light source without any moving parts in a transparency sample chamber. The units supply accurate, reproducible results very quickly. Other major advantages include ease of operation, ergonomic design, compact dimensions

N.I.S.T Tracability

The instrument has a factory calibration, which is related to international standards which are not N.I.S.T traceable. The instrument may be calibrated by the user in a “user calibration mode” with N.I.S.T traceable standards. (N.I.S.T – National Institute of Standards and Technology)

The verification standard kit for the MD610 is designed to ensure the accuracy of the photometer and reliability of the results.

The kit contains a set of standard solution specific to each wavelength used by the photometer. This allows the user to verify the performance of the photometer over the full measurement range. Once measured, results are then compared against tolerances provided on the certificate of conformity.

The kit has a shelf life of 2 years from the date of preparation.

INFRA-RED DATA TRANSMISSION MODULE

IRIM

The IRIM (Infra-red interface module) uses modern infra-red technology to transmit measurement data from the MD610 to one of three optional interfaces. These interfaces can be used to connect to PC, a USB printer or a serial printer.

The interface which is selected is signalled by an LED indicator. The user can easily switch between interfaces using the select button.

The unit is supplied with our data logging software which will provide an easy and rapid transfer of data to the PC. The software allows for the data to be exported as an Excel file or as a .txt file for easy integration into your business.
